“Faith, Hope and Recovery in Letters 2015”

The eighth HAPI booklet of poems and essays is available by request to healingartsproject@gmail.com.

Tennessee writers in mental health and addiction recovery shared their thoughts on resiliency, recovery, hope, success in the face of adversity and life experiences they wished to share.  The “Where to find help”  page is a resource for mental health and addiction crisis calls.

Original HAPI artwork printed in color illustrates the poems and essays to make a beautiful booklet.  Eighty six poems and essays were submitted but space was available for only 29.  All contributors deserve thanks and recognition for their willingness to write and share their experiences.

“Untitled 2” by Ralph Light

Love is like magic
and it always will be
for love still remains
life’s sweet mystery
Love works in ways
that are wondrous & strange
and there’s nothing in life
that love cannot change
Love is unselfish
understanding & kind
love is very priceless
and it sets you free.
